As a mental health therapist, I draw inspiration from the butterfly effect in chaos theory, which suggests that small actions can lead to significant, sometimes unforeseen consequences. I believe that even seemingly minor insights or changes in thought patterns during therapy can lead to substantial improvements in a person’s mental health and overall well-being.

When thinking of a butterfly, you might envision its beauty or the time it took to reach maturity. The transformation from caterpillar to butterfly is a remarkable journey, full of unexpected changes and growth. Similarly, the therapeutic process involves gradual, often unpredictable developments that lead to profound and lasting changes.

I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University after completing an undergraduate degree in Biology at UC Santa Cruz. I am affiliated with the American Counseling Association and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. With years of experience in family conflict, marital conflict resolution, career development, growth in self-agency, and connection to the inner self, fostering a safe therapeutic relationship.

My work in mental health began with crisis intervention. It evolved in many spaces until I dedicated myself to therapy to provide a space for individuals, couples, and families to reconnect with themselves. I have had the privilege of working closely with various communities, incorporating the importance of diversity as our world evolves. My holistic approach includes physical well-being, aiming to help clients feel confident in the world after experiencing a safe space to thrive through life’s challenges. My goal is to be a bridge for many to learn about themselves, inspired by the idea that small things, and shifts in thinking, can lead to significant transformations.

I lean eclectic, including, but not limited to, client-centered, CBT, object relations, family systems, and the Satir method. Connection to the inner self will incorporate various aspects that influence our emotions, states of being and expanding perspective.
